6. Locate the holes in the top plate that correspond with your projector. Make holes in the
rubber surface of the platform to accommodate the three (or four) thumb screws
provided in the Accessory Kit to secure the projector to the top of the platform. Poke
any sharp object through the three (or four) holes on the back of the platform to create
openings in the rubber surface layer.
7. Ensure the projector is sitting perfectly flat unless otherwise noted in the
Projector
Installation Reference List.
Turn the projector over and position it top-side down on a
flat, sturdy surface, exposing the projector bottom
.
Place the top of the platform on the
projector bottom and align the three (or four) holes with the three (or four) threaded
inserts in the projector base. Using the thumb screws provided, secure the platform to
the projector.
NOTES:
•
Do not overtighten the thumb screws.
•
Check for adequate ventilation if the fan intake or exhaust is on the bottom of the
projector.
8. Turn the projector and platform surface over, align the corner holes, and secure the
top of the platform to its base with the four screws previously removed in step 5 above.
Installing the Computer
Place the computer inside the cabinet (with the power button facing the front of the cabinet)
and secure with the two straps provided. You can install the computer to the right or to the left
of the projector. While the computer straps are in place to the left of the projector, it's a simple
matter to unthread them from the cabinet floor slots and rethread them on the other side of the
projector.
NOTE
The computer straps are only intended to provide stability to the computer while the cabinet is
stationary. They will not hold the computer in place during cabinet transportation. If you
transport the cabinet even a short distance, the computer should first be removed.
Ensure the computer will not block the probable path of light from the projector to the SMART
Board.
Equipping the Pen Tray Shelf and Installing the Keyboard
Either the supplied infrared wireless keyboard or a conventional keyboard can be placed on
the Pen Tray shelf. This shelf also holds the SMART Board Pen Tray and its accessories and
your projector’s remote control. The Pen Tray shelf is tucked into the cabinet. It must be pulled
out and equipped as described in the steps below for use.
Pulling out and equipping the Pen Tray shelf:
1. Locate the handle on the narrow horizontal door beneath the front of the SMART
Board.
2. Rotate the handle 1/4 turn, then lower the door.
