use the Macintosh Serial Adaptor (#16, located in the Accessory Kit) to complete
the connection between the Macintosh printer or modem port and serial cable #12.

If computer 2 is already powered up,
the desktop image from the computer will
appear on the RPSB screen.
NOTE
: You may need to de-activate the internal video port on computer 2 or put the
internal and external video ports into simultaneous display mode, so that the laptop
displays on both the laptop monitor and the SMART Board at the same time.
With newer laptops, you can synchronize the internal and external video ports at the
software level, as follows:

From the Windows 95
Start
menu, select
Settings
,
Control Panel
, and then
Display
.
•
Select
the
Refresh
(or
Monitor Refresh
) tab.
•
Click
the
CRT/Panel
option to activate simultaneous monitor and external video
port display.
This may not be possible with older laptop models. With some older laptop models,
you may need to switch back and forth between the internal and external video port. If
you aren’t sure which commands or keyboard combinations are required for switching
back and forth between the internal and external video ports of your laptop, check your
owner's manual.
3. If computer 2 is not on, turn it on.
The boot-up screen will appear on the RPSB screen.

If no image appears on the RPSB screen:
Activate the external video port on computer 2. Some laptop computers can't display their
internal screens and activate the external video port or external monitor at the same time.
Check your laptop computer manual for the command that activates the external video
port, so you can display your laptop monitor on the RPSB screen.
You can now display any data stored on computer 2.

If the image on the RPSB screen is too large or small:
The projector and computer 2 resolution may not match. To adjust your computer
resolution to match the projector resolution, open the Windows 95
Start
menu, select
Settings
, open
Control Panel
, and then
Display
. Click the
Settings
tab, and, finally,
adjust the sliding bar in
Desktop Area
to make the computer resolution match your
projector’s resolution.

To use the touch-sensitive and annotation capabilities of the SMART Board:
Install SMART Board Software on computer 2. After inserting the disks, you should
perform an orientation to ensure that the cursor tracks your finger and the Pen Tray
tools accurately. Select
Orient Board
from the
Board
menu and follow the on-screen
instructions.

To switch the projected display from computer 2 to computer 1:
Push the Display Source Switch located next to the Volume Control Dial.
