Only rotary leadthroughs that are suit-
able for dry running may be used. The
small lubricant quantities that are used
for minimal quantity lubrication are insuf-
ficient for lubricating a conventional rotary
leadthrough.
IMPORTANT NOTE
Check valves in rotary leadthroughs and
spindles must be removed because they
can lead to malfunctions or failure of the
MQL system.
Check valves are often built into rotary
leadthroughs and spindles by the machine
tool manufacturer. These check valves must
be removed since it cannot be ensured that
they are completely opened by the low op-
erating pressure of the MQL system.
Sufficient lubrication of the cutting process
is therefore not ensured.
Please contact the tool manufacturer and
ask how to remove the check valves.
Disregarding this fact could lead to consid-
erable damage to the machine tool. Please
contact the machine manufacturer and ask
whether the rotary leadthrough of the ma-
chine tool is suitable for dry running
