8.2.3.1 Controlling a reill device (output
byte 0, bit 0)
MQL systems with integrated refill pump
(UFDX0-1-XX100) can be configured so
that the refill pump is started either auto-
matically by the MQL system control unit or
via a command from the machine control
unit. The desired duty type is set using DIP
switches 2 and 3 on the MQL control unit
(Chapter 7.1.1.2). If both DIP switches are
in the OFF position, the refill pump is con-
trolled from the machine tool (output byte
0, bit 0).
The information in bits 0-3 from input byte
0, which represent the oil supply in the
aerosol generator (Chapter 8.2.1.1), can be
used to control the refill process.
8.2.3.2 Resetting a timeout error (output
byte 0, bit 1)
A timeout error caused by exceeding the
permissible pump cycle time, which is in-
dicated by bit 0 in input byte 1 (Chapter
8.2.1.5), can be reset using bit 1 in output
byte 0 by briefly setting to <<1>>.
8.2.3.3 Switching the main air valve
(output byte 0, bit 5)
The main air valve can be opened and
closed via bit 5 in output byte 0.
The main air valve should only be switched
on and off, respectively, at the start and end
of a usage increment (e.g., workday).
Do not actuate the main air valve to inter-
rupt aerosol generation.
To interrupt aerosol generation and the
aerosol flow, e.g., during tool change, call
program number <<0>> (Chapter 8.2.3).
