Fine tuning tests for each Test ID involves ensuring that specific features are selected and
their parameters adjusted for the specific motor.
Ensure that the
Edit Test ID
box is checked as you modify parameters for each Test ID.
1) For both Test IDs, open the
Temperature/Resistance Test
setup window. Click on the
Temperature Enable
radio button, and consider enabling
Target Corrected
Resistance
(if you plan to use trending later).
2) DC resistance of the armature is likely quite low A1–A2, so click on the
Resistance
Enable
radio button to ensure an accurate, repeatable measurement.
3) Ensure that the
2 Leads
and
Automatic
radio buttons are selected.

4) The DC Tests setup for each Test ID need only be adjusted for specific settings of the
motor being tested. They do not require any special consideration for using the Hi-L
technique.
