This is the pin configuration for a female socket, as seen towards the socket (face view).

Serial line interface cables

A ready-made cable is available. The serial interface cable is manufactured by Kongsberg
Maritime using a commercial USB-to-serial converter. It is terminated with an 8-pin
MCIL8M subsea connector. The cable is approximately 2.5 metres long.

An extension cable is also available. This cable can be used to increase the reach of the
serial and/or transducer cables
