Transducer connectors
The 8-pin transducer sockets are manufactured by MacArtney with type identification
MCBH8F. Each socket supports four transducer sectors. The 4-pin transducer sockets are
manufactured by MacArtney with type identification MCBH4F.
Transducer socket 1 is the default socket when the
multiplexing functionality is not used. It supports a
split-beam transducer with four sectors. The four-pin
socket (3) may be used to connect a single-beam transducer
if your split-beam transducer has only three sectors.
If you wish to use the multiplexing functionality, connect
the second transducer to socket 2. It supports a split-beam
transducer with four sectors. The four-pin socket (4)
may be used to connect a single-beam transducer if your
split-beam transducer has only three sectors.
Tip
When working in EK80 mode, the software license in the
EK80 program controls how the transducer is connected.
On the
Setup
menu, select
Installation
. On the left side
of the
Installation
dialog box, select
Software License
.
The
License Details
text box explains which transceiver
channels that are used. Each channel available is listed with the relevant operational
frequency and power capacity.
MacArtney connector MCIL8F
Transducer socket 1 is the default socket when the multiplexing functionality is not used.
It supports a split-beam transducer with four sectors. If you wish to use the multiplexing
functionality, connect the second transducer to socket 2.
The 8-pin male connector used on the transducer cable is manufactured by MacArtney as
a part of their "SubConn Micro Circular" series. Its type identification is MCIL8M. The
connector is provided with an open-ended cable.
