Switching between Autonomous mode and
EK80 mode
The transceiver can be operated in Autonomous or EK80 mode. In Autonomous mode, the
WBT Mini is programmed to perform a predefined mission. In EK80 mode, the transceiver
is used with a computer running the EK80 scientific echo sounder program. If necessary,
you can easily switch from one mode to the other.
Prerequisites
• A driver for the serial interface cable is installed.
• The serial line interface cable is connected between the computer and the WBT Mini.
Context
When used in EK80 mode, the transceiver is controlled by the EK80 scientific echo sounder
program. This mode requires one or more EK80 software licenses.
Procedure
1 Connect to the WBT Mini.
a Select the
Transceiver
tab to open the
Transceiver
page.
b Select the serial port you wish to use for communication.
c Select the
Normal Mode
button to activate Normal mode if it is not already
activated.
