Leaks in the sample gas path

When measuring toxic process media, these can be released or collect in the device if there

are leaks in the sample gas path.
● Purge the device as described in Commissioning (Page 95).
● Dispose of the toxic process media displaced by purging in an environmentally friendly

manner.

CAUTION

Releasing button lock
Improper modification of parameters could influence process safety.
● Make sure that only authorized personnel may cancel the button locking of devices for

safety-related applications.

WARNING

Use of a computer in a hazardous area
If the interface to the computer is used in the hazardous area, there is a risk of explosion.
● Ensure that the atmosphere is explosion-free (hot work permit).

9.2

Recalibration

Siemens A/S, Flow Instruments offers to recalibrate the sensor at our works in Denmark. The

following calibration types are offered as standard according to configuration (standard,

density, °Brix/°Plato, fraction):
● Standard calibration
● Customer specified calibration
● Accredited Siemens ISO/IEC 17025 calibration
● Density calibration (incl. fraction setup if requested)
● Witness calibration

Note
SensorFlash
For sensor recalibration the SensorFlash memory unit must always be returned with the

sensor.
