Assembly
1. Remove the parallel key lock or insert it in the keyway.
2. Check the correct seating.
3. Then push the external fan

onto the shaft up to its stop. Use a suitable device for this
purpose.
4. Insert the retaining ring

into the corresponding groove and check its fit.

External fan made of welded sheet steel
With external fans made of welded sheet steel, the fan hub is shrunk onto the shaft. The fan is
screwed to the hub.
Disassembling
1. Unscrew the air inlet nozzle.

2. Loosen the crews that fasten the fan impeller to the hub and pull the fan impeller off.
3. Warm up the fan hub, e.g. using a flame and pull the hot fan hub off with a puller.
Assembly
1. Clean the shaft and the hub before fitting the impeller and grease them lightly.
2. Warm up the fan hub, e.g. using a flame. Push on the warm fan hub.
3. Screw the fan impeller to the hub.
4. Attach the air inlet nozzle. The distance between external fan and air inlet nozzle must be
≥ 2 mm evenly over the circumference.
