Keypad lock
In addition to password protection, the operator panel of the ATC6500 can also be disabled.
The purpose of this is to prevent changes being made to the ATC6500 by touching the keys.
The keypad lock can be implemented in two different ways:

Activation of a programmable input
●
Pressing a combination of keys on the front panel
When the keypad is locked, it is only possible to read messages. It is not possible to change
the operating mode or perform a manual transfer.

Activation of the keypad lock by means of a programmable input
In order to lock the keypad by means of an input, the corresponding Keypad Lock function
must be selected and activated in Menu P12. You can find more information on this in the
chapter Parameterization - P12 - Digital Inputs (Page 179).

Procedure for locking and unlocking the keypad
1.
While holding down the

key, press the

key three times without releasing it at the end

Release the

key and then press the
▲
key five times

Release both keys.
When the keypad is locked, the message KEYBOARD LOCKED appears on the display. An
acoustic signal also sounds when the
✓
key is pressed.
Conversely, when it has been unlocked, the message KEYBOARD UNLOCKED appears.
