Transfer
12
The following chapter contains information on the transfer sequence.
The ATC controls the breakers in a defined sequence depending on the selected application.
The sequences are illustrated in the diagrams below. You can find more information about
the parameters in the chapter Parameterization (Page 155).
Please note that the transfers, and consequently the transfer times, depend on many
conditions.
Some examples include:
●
Application (network / network, network / generator, generator / generator) (see chapter
●
Closing delays of possible tie breaker (see chapter P02 (Page 162))
●
Priority settings of sources (see chapter P06 (Page 168))
●
Interlock times of sources (see chapter P07 (Page 169))
●
Delay times in the event of limit violations (see chapter P09 (Page 174))
●
Inherent delay of motor operators
●
Presence of input functions (see chapter Table of functions of the digital inputs
(Page 145))
●

Transfer types
12.1.1
Open transition
With open transition, the transfer takes place irrespective of the delta of the voltage,
frequency and phase angle of the two sources.
The interlock times of the open and close commands of the breakers have a significant effect
on the transfer time.
