Overview of the Scanning Process
Trigger Modes
Triggered acquisition modes may be used if the advanced triggering option has
been installed on the system. Triggered modes allow for
ECG
-gated scanning
techniques. See Table 16 on page 5-23 for more information. The trigger mode
information is displayed beneath the System Data. The trigger controls are
assigned to the
APEX INVERT
Soft Window. Press the corresponding knob to
display the triggering options and then turn the knob to adjust the settings. Note
that the Advanced Triggering option must be installed for this Soft Window to
have multiple functions.

Explanation of the Trigger Mode Fields
Setting

# Beat(s)
Beat
Shows the number of beats selected for intermittent
imaging mode.
The range is from 1 through 16.
#.# ms
Time
Increases the trigger time in milliseconds.
The range is from 8.0 ms through 1992.0 ms.
# Frames
Frames
Shows the number of frames that are produced in
intermittent mode
The range is from 1 through 16 frames.
