NOTICE
Polluted silicone coupling
A polluted silicone coupling can cause an internal arc during operation and damage the
switchgear.
⇨ Clean the grease and pollution off the insertable sleeves and push-on surfaces of the
silicone couplings.
1. Clean the surfaces of the silicone couplings carefully.
2. Apply a uniformly thin film of mounting paste all around the push-on surface on one side of
the silicone coupling.

NOTICE
Mounting paste at the tension spring for earthing
Mounting paste at the tension spring for earthing can cause an internal arc during operation
and damage the switchgear.
⇨ Push the tension spring for earthing to the side when inserting the silicone coupling.
3. Insert the silicone coupling – with the side previously coated with mounting paste – into the
busbar bush as far as it will go. Turn the silicone coupling slightly while inserting.
✓
The tension spring for earthing must touch the conductive layer of the silicone coupling
(visual check).
4. Apply mounting paste on 2 other silicone couplings, and insert them into the busbar bushes
in the same way.

Preparing the panel to be lined up
1. Carefully clean the busbar bushes of the panel to be lined up. Use the supplied mounting
paste as cleaning agent.
2. Clean the contact studs of the panel to be lined up with a lint-free wiping cloth
without
mounting paste.
