For the Y axis, the stop blocks and proximity 

targets are already mounted on the gantry. 

Adjust the stop blocks so that the YZ car hits 

them right before hitting the side of the 

gantry to maximize your travel. 

 

Locate the 8mm threaded hole to the left of 

the spindle/router. Roll the YZ car into each 

stop block and adjust the target bolt so that 

this hole is directly over one at each end.  

 

Thread the barrel proximity switch into the 

hole until it comes to rest on the target. Back 

it out several turns so that there is a 1/32” – 

1/16” (1-2mm) gap between them.  

 

Tighten the nuts onto the switch as you did 

with the X axis, and then connect the Y axis 

proximity switch cable (marked with blue 

tape).
