Power Supply
The multiplexer must be powered from an externally supplied DC voltage from 8 to 35V. The power
supply connection is protected against reversed polarity.
Indicators
The LEDs on the MiniPlex provide information about the status and operation of the multiplexer. When
the multiplexer is power up, all LEDs flash once.
Green: This LED flashes upon reception of a valid NMEA sentence. It also shows a dim flash every 2
seconds to indicate the multiplexer is powered ad operating correctly. During a firmware
update, the LED flashes upon reception of a firmware block.
Red:
This LED flashes on a buffer overflow, indicating that a currently received NMEA sentence will be
lost.
During start-up, this LED is on for a short moment while the multiplexer checks if firmware is
loaded or if a firmware update is initiated by MPX-Config. If firmware is found, the LED goes off.
When the LED stays on, no firmware was found.
During a firmware update, the LED is on. When the update is completed, the LED goes of. If the
LED stays on after a firmware update error, it indicates that no valid firmware is present.
When the multiplexer is set to Terminal Mode (MiniPlex-2Wi only) with the PSMDWI,T
command, this LED is blinking continuously.
Yellow: This LED is only present on the MiniPlex-2Wi and indicates the status of the WiFi connection.
When off, no device is connected to the WiFi access point. When on, one or more devices are
connected and receiving UDP data. The LED blinks when a TCP connection is active.
