Controlling CPU Speed
Windows XP controls the processor performance to reduce power consumption.
While communicating or reading/writing data, do not control the
Processor Performance
or connect/disconnect the AC adapter. Otherwise
the computer may malfunction.

In the
Power Options Properties
dialog box, selected the
Power Schemes
tab.

Select an appropriate power scheme from the pull-down menu in the
Power
schemes
field according to the table below, and click
OK
.

Close the
Power Options Properties
dialog box, then, the
Control Panel
window.
