bearings, since this is what holds the gears in proper alignment. Do not drill for the roll
pins.

Note:

The best way to align miter gears with each other is with a single thickness of kraft

paper. You literally cut a strip of paper from an ordinary grocery bag and press it between
the teeth of the two gears. This strip of paper will insure that the gears are properly
positioned and will run smoothly. You may find it hard to believe, but this is the industry-
standard method of installing gears.
