Concentration can be assigned any values and observe variation of output data at the same
time.
In emulation mode operator sets value of
CH
parameter (concentration, %, vol. fraction).
On the basis of set value of
CH
parameter, value of
Cn
parameter (concentration, % LFL) is
calculated using formula:
Cn = (CH • rS • 100) / LL,
where
rS
and
LL
are value of parameters in accordance with 8.4.2.7.
Entering emulation mode is as follows:
- enter configuration menu;
- select
CAL
menu item;
- run command
C231
(enter administrator mode);
- run command
C201
(enter emulation mode);
- exit to operation mode of viewing parameters;
- enter quick-access menu;
- select item
Set.u
;
- input value of parameter
СН
;
- scroll to
End
item and exit with saving parameters;
Exiting emulation mode is performed by input of
C200
command of
CAL
menu item, or
automatically in 5 minutes after login.
Viewing of calculated concentration value
Cn
is performed in operation mode of viewing
parameters or in item
Hold
of quick-access menu.
Emulation mode is used to check operation of switching units, power and switching units,
light, sound signaling devices, multi-channel signaling devices and actuating mechanisms of
automation by simulation of concentration reaching alarm signaling thresholds or simulation
exceeding measurement range. Mode is also used to check correctness of
Cn
parameter
calculation, by assigning measured parameter
CH
corresponding values, and for check of
4...20 mA interface.
After exiting emulation mode, it is required to administrator mode by running
C230
command.
8.4.2.17 Factory reset
If factory settings were changed and it is require to restore them - this can be performed
as follows:
- enter configuration menu;
- select
CAL
menu item;
- run command
C231
(enter administrator mode);
- run command
C222
(restore factory configuration);
- run command
C230
(exit administrator mode);
- exit to operation mode of viewing parameters.
8.4.3 Gas detector handling via digital interface RS-485 (Modbus RTU protocol)
8.4.3.1 General information
Gas detector has the following parameter for configuration of operation via digital
interface RS-485 (Modbus RTU protocol):
- data transfer rate;
- parity control mode for data transfer;
- address of gas detector in RS-485 network Modbus protocol.
Before connection of gas detector to RS-485 line Modbus protocol, it is required to
configure parameters shown above in advance, for correct operation via digital interface RS-
485 (Modbus protocol).
