Value of parameter nP must be recorded in the table of configuration parameters of gas
detector configuration data sheet. Factory setting of nP parameter is 0 (disabled), unless
otherwise specified in purchase order.
8.4.2.14 Configuration of RS-485 port parameters
Viewing and configuration of RS-485 port parameters are only available for
"administrator" access level.
To set parameters it is required:
- enter configuration menu;
- run command
C231 (enter administrator mode);
- select SADA menu item;
- assign parameter rS (data rate) a required value:
1 - 2400 bit/s;
2 - 4800 bit/s;
3 - 9600 bit/s;
4 - 14400 bit/s;
5 - 19200 bit/s;
6 - 38400 bit/s;
- assign parameter rP (parity) a required value:
0 - no parity control;
1 - even;
2 - odd;
- assign parameter SP (protocol switch) a required value:
0 - automatic protocol detection;
1 - Modbus RTU protocol;
2 - SENS protocol;
- assign parameter AA (address) a required value;
- scroll to End item and exit with saving parameters;
- run command C230 (exit administrator mode).
Factory parameters settings:

rS - 5 (19200 bit/s);
- rP - 0 (no parity control);
- SP - 0 (automatic protocol detection);
- AA - 1.

8.4.2.15 Configuring of address, viewing of information parameters
Configuring of address, viewing of information parameters are performed in settings
menu item Info .
Menu item contains following subitems:

- gas detector error code;
- Ad - gas detector address in SENS system;
- Pn - program version (ID) of gas detector firmware.
For operation within SENS system, each device has an address.
Gas detector can be assigned address from 1 to 254. The address must be unique, i.e.
the devices connected to one line must not have the same addresses.
Gas detector sends a status byte to the line, only if its address is in range from 1 to 127.
Note - Certain switching units, power and switching units of SENS system support
handling of transducer status byte only if its address is in range from 1 to 31.
