3. Remove the reservoir cap

, and then
check the fluid level in the reservoir.
TIP:
• If the fluid is at the proper level, a small
amount of fluid should flow out of the filler
hole.
• If the fluid is below the proper level, add the
recommended PTT fluid up to the proper
level.
4. Install the reservoir cap

, and then
tighten it to the specified torque.
5. Connect the PTT motor leads to the bat-
tery terminals to fully retract the tilt ram.
6. Reverse the PTT motor lead connections
between the battery terminals to fully
extend the tilt ram.
TIP:
If the tilt ram does not move up and down
easily, push and pull on the ram to assist the
operation.
Recommended PTT fluid: ATF Dexron II
