4. Tighten the self-locking nut

specified torque, and then install the
caps

5. Connect the ground leads C , D , and E ,
and then tighten the grease nipples

to
the specified torque.
6. Install the stoppers G , and then tighten
the nuts
H
to the specified torque.
7. Inject grease into the grease nipples on
the swivel bracket. See “Lubricating the
outboard motor” (10-14).
Self-locking nut

45 N·m (4.5 kgf·m, 33.2 ft·lb)
Grease nipple F :
3 N·m (0.3 kgf·m, 2.2 ft·lb)
Stopper nut H :
36 N·m (3.6 kgf·m, 26.6 ft·lb)
