The amount of ink remaining in the ink cartridges is represented by six levels on
the display.
After installation of the first set of ink cartridges and the initial ink fill, the ink levels
on the display will not be at 100%. This is normal and does not mean the ink has
been lost or wasted. It is now inside the printer and ready for printing.
Open the top cover of the printer to view the ink tubes where the initial ink from the
first set of cartridges is being stored inside the printer.
Any subsequent, new ink cartridge will read at the 100% level.

This printer supports both USB and network (100BASE-TX or 10BASE-T Ethernet)
connection.
Before installing the software, determine how the printer is connected.
If unsure, begin with the USB installation using the cable provided or contact your network
administrator.
USB Connection
This section explains how to connect the printer to a computer using a USB cable.
Even if the computer connected to the printer to via USB is networked, you can still
connect the printer and computer according to the procedure explained in this
section.
Do not turn the printer on until directed to do so during the installation of software.
