Complete physical layer of T1 trunk settings-‘ system carrier ’ and ‘ module ’

Create ds0-groups to manage the DS0 channels on the T1 trunk-‘ cas-ds0-
group ’

Configure ds0-group with sub-commands such as ‘ timeslots ’ and ‘ signal cas ’

Customize CAS signaling properties with ‘ define ’ and ‘ condition ’ command.
Configure T1 Trunk
This section describes the procedure to configure physical layer of T1 trunk.
Configuring T1 Trunk Settings
To make a T1 connection with neighboring equipment interworking on PSTN,
the specific characteristic of T1 trunk line should be met. This configuration is
made typically in
module configuration mode.
To configure T1 CAS, the following procedure shoud be complete.
1.
Set up the T1 trunk that connects to the private automatic branch
exchange(PBX) or switch.
2.
Ensure that the framing and linecoding of the T1 are properly set.
3.
For T1 framing, choose either ESF or D4 .
4.
For T1 linecoding, choose either B8ZS or AMI .
5.
For the T1 clock source, choose either internal or line . Keep in mind
that different PBXs have different requirements on the clock source.
Configuration of clock source is only used in module command.
6.
Configure line signaling and interregister signaling for CAS.
7.
Customize the configuration with the cas-custom command.
