Troubleshooting
Generally speaking, the SRG-4500 is reliable under normal steady-state operating conditions. If you are having
problems, select the symptom from this chapter that closely relates to your particular problem and perform the
checks/actions listed.
Troubleshooting Checklist
Table 8.1 provides troubleshooting guidance for the SRG-4500.
Replacing a Power Supply
Replacing a failed PS-4500 in a SRG-4500 requires the following steps:
1. If applicable, move the handle on the new PS-4500 to the correct side.
2. Remove the front faceplate from the main chassis.
3. Remove the failed PS-4500 from the main chassis.
4. Install the new PS-4500 into the main chassis.
5. Re-install the faceplate on the main chassis.
Moving the Handle on the PS-4500
Each new PS-4500 ships with its handle installed on the right. The handle must be installed on the side closest to the
rack unit ears to ensure the front faceplate is securely affixed to the main chassis.
