Changing Names and Comments

You can change printer names and attach comments using a Web browser.

Note

❒

Each of the names, in TCP/IP form (printer name) and NetBEUI form, is changed individually. Com-
ments are, however, common to both protocols.

❒

The factory default name consists of “RNP” and the last 3 bytes of the MAC address on the network
interface board. For example, if the MAC address is 00:00:74:62:7D:D5, the factory default name is
“RNP627DD5”. Comments are not configured.

Enter the address “http:// (IP address of the printer you want to change the settings)”.

The status of the selected printer is displayed on the Web browser.
