Finding the Controls
The control panel of the unit is divided into three equal parts: left, middle, and right.
Left part :
This part contains the telephone keypad laid out in the conventional telephone arrangement with a “nib”
on the 5 button. To the right of the keypad are the four buttons in a vertical row. The top is the REDIAL
button which is also the PAUSE button. Below is the HANDSET MUTE button. The third is the FLASH
button. The fourth is the MONITOR button.
Middle part :
At the upper middle part of the panel is a smooth surface. This is the display. To the right of the display is
the CALLER ID button. Immediately below the display is the ONE-TOUCH LABEL CARD which has 6
ONE-TOUCH buttons in its inside. They are placed in two horizontal rows, each row has three buttons.
On the left side of the ONE-TOUCH LABEL CARD is the LOWER button. To the right side of the
ONE-TOUCH LABEL CARD is the NAVIGATOR control, which is a large cross key with four active
areas. The active areas are the 12 o’clock, 3 o’clock, 6 o’clock and 9 o’clock positions. The 12 and 6
o’clock positions are PLUS and MINUS keys respectively. These are also the VOLUME control increase
and decrease keys. The 3 and 9 o’clock positions are the RIGHT and LEFT arrow keys.
Right part :
On the upper right of the NAVIGATOR key are the two circular buttons in a vertical row. The top button
is the HELP button. Below this is the MENU button. To the right of these buttons are three oval buttons
also in a vertical row. The top is the COLLATE button. Below is the RESOLUTION button. The third is
the SCAN button. To the right of the COLLATE button is a button marked with an indented page icon.
This is the COPY START button. To the upper right of the COPY START button is the AUTO ANSWER
