15. "VP" flight model programme
for models with a V-tail
This flight model programme is used for models with a V-tail. For models with V-tails, the rudder and elevator controls
are achieved by two servos each. Each servo only controls one rudder blade. Because both servos must achieve the
deflection in the same direction for elevator deflection, whereas the rudder deflection must be in opposite directions,
the sender has a mixer for coordinating the control signals for these models.
a) Selecting control layout
The flight model programmes "VP" for V-tails and "DP" for delta models deviate only by different channel
assignments for the servos at the receiver and their assignment in the transmitter.
This makes it possible to use modes 3 and 4 as well when the transmitter is adjusted accordingly (control
layout "d1" or "d2"; flight programme "VP" or "DP") and the channels are assigned respectively at the
receiver. Also refer to the information provided in the following section "flight model programme DP for
models with delta wings".
All settings, mixers and functions are only performed correctly if the adjustment elements (servos, etc.) are
plugged into the receiver in a certain sequence. Please observe the notes under the following section
"overview of possible control layouts".
