d) Setting the length of the joysticks
You can extend the joystick by pulling the upper part further out. Loosen the inner counter screw with a suitable hex
key. Set the desired joystick height. After making this adjustment, the joysticks must be countered by the hex socket
head screw again to make sure that the joysticks do not loosen during operation.
e) Modifying the throttle function
Note figure 3 on the following page.
If you prefer to have the gas function on the right hand as opposed to the left hand lever, you have the option of
swapping the rest/hold function and the spring return mechanism of the two lever units.
To make the necessary changes, some experience with remote control transmitters is required. Thus you should
consult an experienced model maker or a model construction club if you do not feel capable of undertaking the
procedures described in the following.
Unscrew the four screws by means of a Phillips-tip screwdriver from the rear panel of the transmitter and lift the rear
panel carefully. Remove the power supply plug (1) and the HF module plug (2) from the main circuit board.
Remove the leaf spring (3) at the right joystick unit (viewed from behind. Relocate the threaded socket (4 – covered in
the figure) to the left and replace the leaf spring (3) at the left unit. With the upper screw you can custom set the
frictional force of the coach spring.
Bend the tip of a pin with fine tongs to form a hook and use it to unhook the return spring (5) from the return lever (6)
at the left joystick unit (viewed from behind). After unhooking the spring, you can also easily remove the return lever at
the left joystick unit.
After replacing the return lever (6) mirror-inverted at the right joystick unit, you can easily replace the return spring (5)
with your "hooked pin".
Once you have checked the mechanical function of the two joystick units, replug the power supply and HF module.
Then reattach the back cover and screw the transmitter side tight.
The electronic modification of the throttle function is done later in the system setting menu under "control layout".
