13. Over-speed is strictly prohibited
• Be aware of
F
orklift performance and decide a proper travel
speed according to actual situation of working site. In the meantime,
decide the travel route and working method of the forklift and make
sure the working related staff knows it.
•
Keep a medium and low speed to keep the forklift in control.
• When traveling on rugged, smooth road or slope, avoid high-speed
travel, sharp turn or sharp brake.
•
When the working site is full of cargo and loose objects , or uneven
ground, it will make the steering wheel difficult to control and the
cargo may easily fall off or the forklift may turn over. Hence,
make sure to keep low speed in this situation.
•
Make the engine run stably. It is strictly forbidden to turn sharply
during high-speed running.
14.
Keep good visibility
• When the front visibility is not good, or the forklift is reaching
narrow road junction, please slow down or stop for a while. If
needed, honk to warn other surrounding vehicles or have specified
personnel to guide the way and avoid brutal operation.
•
Bad weather such as dust, thick fog and rainstorm will influence the
visibility. When the visibility goes down, please try to travel
slowly.
• The forklift is a special vehicle which needs to be operated carefully
when transporting large-size cargo, especially the operation of lifting
up & descending, going forward & backward and gear shifting. In the
meantime, do not have anyone go into the working range or make
sure there is specified personnel in charge of guiding.
39
• People can easily have visual illusion on judgment of distance or
altitude of ground at night. Please keep a speed which is proper for
lighting.
•
Make sure the large light, top light and warning light are turned on
when the forklift is in operation.
15. Pay attention when traveling in severe environment
• Please pay full attention when operating and traveling in severe
environment. Do not operate alone in dangerous place. Check the
working site in advance and be familiar with the condition of
traveling ground and landforms of operation site.
• If you drive the
F
orklift on wet or soft ground, pay attention to
tires sinking or brake effect.
• The earth dumped on the ground or near the ditch is loose and soft.
It may collapse under the
F
orklift weight or the vibration of the
F
orklift, and makes the
F
orklift roll over.
•
When there is danger of falling objects at working site or turning over
of the
F
orklift, please carefully drive it and discreetly operate it.
•
When there is no good visibility for transporting and loading
operation, you must have guiding personnel guide your way to avoid
any accident or personal injury.
• When there is continuous work in rainy days, the working
environment must have changed compared with the condition when
it just rains. Please discreetly operate the forklift and pay attention
to the deposit on the working site.
•
When working in the snow, the loading work will change a lot
because of the snow. Please reduce the loading volume and carefully
operate to avoid the
F
orklift slipping.
