5.4 Multi-way valve (Fig. 5-1)
Two-plate type multi-way valve consists of four pcs of valve body, two sliding valve and one
safety overflow valve. The four pcs of valve body are installed by three double-end bolts and nuts.
The tilt sliding valve installs front-tilt locking valve.
The pressure of main safety valve is set before leaving factory. The user is not allowed to adjust
at will.

Step on the speed-up pedal completely and operate the lifting control
lever, if the forks can lift up to 0~12in range of height, the pressure of
main safety valve is correct. Otherwise, adjust according to next step.
•
If the forks fail to lift up, increase the pressure of main safety valve and
loosen the locking nut of main safety valve, loosen the adjusting screw

clockwise to increase the pressure of main safety valve. If the forks
lifting height is higher than 12 inches, please twist the adjusting
screw counterclockwise reduce the pressure of main safety valve.
•
Step on the speed-up pedal completely to lift up the forks just in
0~12in range of height.
•
tighten again the locking nut.
5.5 Hydraulic system oil line
(Fig. 5-2)
The high-pressure oil coming from the main oil pump reaches multi-way valve and devided into
two parts by distributing valve of the multi-way valve: one part of it flows constantly to steering gear
to control steering cylinder; the other part of it flows into lifting cylinder or tilting cylinder. When the
lifting valve and tilting valve are in neutral position, the high-pressure oil returns directly to oil tank
through passage; when pulling lifting sliding valve, the high-pressure oil passes through throttle valve,
and pushes up piston rod by lifting cylinder piston. When pushing the lifting sliding valve, the bottom
of lifting piston conununicates with high pressure and makes the piston rod descend based on the
weight of itself and the cargo. At this time, the oil flowing out of the lfiting cylinder passes through
throttle valve to control the descending speed. When operating the tilting sliding valve, the
high-pressure oil can flow into front chamber (rear chamber) of tilt cylinder, with the other side
communicating with low pressure, in order to make mast finish the movement of tilting backward or
forward.
