Chapter 4

Operator Commands

This chapter describes the commands on the Operator screen of the
touch screen graphical user interface (GUI). Using this screen, you can:

•

configure the library

•

configure library options

•

move a tape cartridge

•

inventory the tape cartridges

•

calibrate the library

•

exercise the library

•

unload a tape drive

•

unload the load port

The Operator screen is restricted to persons with Operator or Service
access privileges.

Note: The commands on the Operator screen are operational only when the

library is in Standby mode.

Note: This chapter assumes you are familiar with the P1000 GUI. If you are

not, see “Using the GUI” on page 42 for more information.
