Checking Air Sparger Function (if
equipped)
Air Sparger installation details are
covered in depth on page 12. Locate
the Air Sparger in the tanking. It
should be visible from the manway
and installed with a union so it can be
removed for maintenance.
Verify the bottom of the sparger nozzle
is set 6-12” above the water level
and pointed downward or spraying
horizontally if space is limited. If
mounted horizontally it should be
spraying vigorously against the
sidewall of the tank. Verify that a
vacuum is felt when covering the air
intake on the top of the air sparger.
