F. CLEANING THE IN-FEED ROLLERS
The In-Feed Rollers are visible when the Media Tray Assembly is removed. There
are a total of three In-Feed Rollers. Two rollers are located within the printer, one
directly in front of the other. The other roller is located on the Media Supply Tray.
Together, the In-Feed Rollers serve to pull print media out of the Supply Tray and
feed it up into the printer.
Periodically clean the printerÕs In-Feed Rollers if you notice voids or spots in
printed images down the center of the page, if you notice excess dust or debris
accumulation on the rollers, or if the printer is having difficulty pulling media out
of the Supply Tray. Use the following steps to clean these rollers.
1. Remove the Media Tray Assembly from the printer.
2. Locate the Media Supply TrayÕs rubber In-Feed Roller.
3. Locate the two rubber In-Feed Rollers within the printer.
4. Use a Cleaning Pad from the Printer Cleaning Kit or a soft, lint-free cloth
slightly moistened with isopropyl alcohol to thoroughly wipe each of the
rollers clean. While wiping, manually rotate each roller with your fingertips.
