SPARK PLUG
Remove fascia panel. Remove the spark plug and clean
the electrodes section with a wire brush or sandpaper. Next,
set the gap at .028/.031inches (0.7-0.8 mm) by adjusting the
negative electrode . Replace the spark plug with correct
torque: 14 ft-lb (20 N.m)
OIL TYPE
Use new good quality oil, SJ or later service category.
The oil to be used depends upon the temperature at which the
engine is operated:
Below 32° F (0° C) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .SAE 5W-30, or 10W-30
32 to 85° F (0 to 29° C) . . . . . . . . . . . . .SAE 10W-30, or 30W
Above 85° F (29° C) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .SAE 30W
OIL REPLACEMENT
1. Change oil while engine is warm.
2. Place the generator unit on a level surface.
3. Remove the oil filler cap.
4. Open the oil drain plug and let oil drain completely into a
pan placed under the engine.
5. Check gaskets. Replace if required.
6. Reinstall the oil drain plug and refill engine with clean
oil.
7. Replace the oil filler cap.
AIR FILTER CLEANING
1. Unscrew the air filter cover.
2. Remove filter element and wash well in solvent.
3. Pour a small amount of oil onto the filter element and
gently squeeze out any excess oil.
4. Replace the filter element and air filter cover.
5. Be sure the filter cover seals properly all around.

Replace with only the same type of spark plug which
was removed. An improper spark plug can cause the
engine to overheat, emit smoke, or otherwise
perform poorly.

MANUTENÇÃO PERIÓDICA
MANUTENÇÃO
VELA DE IGNIÇÃO
Remova o painel frontal. Remova a vela de ignição e limpe
a seção dos elétrodos com uma escova de arame ou lixa. Em
seguida, defina a folga entre 0,7-0,8 mm (0,028/.031 polegadas)
ajustando o elétrodo negativo. Substitua a vela de ignição com
torque correto: 14 pés-libras (20 N.m).

CUIDADO
Substitua apenas com o mesmo tipo de vela de ignição que foi
removida. Uma vela de ignição inadequada pode provocar
sobreaquecimento do motor, emitir fumo, ou ter um fraco um
fraco desempenho.
TIPO DE ÓLEO
Use óleo novo de boa qualidade, categoria de serviço SJ
ou superior. O óleo a utilizar depende da temperatura à qual o
motor funciona:
Inferior a 0 ºC (32 °F) SAE 5W-30 ou 10W-30
Entre 0 e 29 °C (32 e 85 °F) .................... SAE 10W-30 ou 30W
Superior a 29 ºC (85 °F) ............................................. SAE 30W
SUBSTITUIÇÃO DO ÓLEO
1. Substitua o óleo enquanto o motor estiver quente.
2. Coloque a unidade do gerador sobre uma superfície
nivelada.
3. Remova a tampa de enchimento do óleo.
4. Abra o bujão de drenagem do óleo e deixe o óleo drenar
totalmente para uma bandeja colocada sob o motor.
5. Verifique as juntas. Substitua-as se necessário.
6. Volte a colocar o bujão de drenagem do óleo e reabasteça o
motor com óleo limpo.
7. Volte a colocar a tampa de enchimento do óleo.
LIMPEZA DO FILTRO DO AR
1. Desparafuse a tampa do filtro do ar.
2. Remover o elemento filtrante e lave-o bem com solvente.
3. Despeje uma pequena quantidade de óleo sobre o elemento
filtrante e aperte suavemente para remover qualquer
excesso de óleo.
4. Substitua o elemento filtrante e a tampa do filtro do ar.
5. Certifique-se de que a tampa do filtro sela corretamente a
toda a volta.
