POSITIONING
• Place the generator set on a flat and solid surface to
prevent it from sinking.
• Keep fuel, oil or other explosives at a safe distance from
the generator set.
• Select a site that is well ventilated and protected from the
weather.
• Place the generator set safely away from people and
animals.
CAUTION: TILTING CAN CAUSE FUEL
SPILLAGE
At high altitude, the standard carburetor air-fuel mixture
will be too rich. Performance will decrease and fuel
consumption will increase. A very rich mixture will also foul
the spark plug and cause hard starting. Operation at an
altitude that differs from that at which this engine was
certified, for extended periods of time, may increase
emissions.
Engine horsepower will decrease about 3.5% for each
300 meter (1,000 foot) increase in altitude. A decrease in
engine horsepower will decrease the power output of the
generator.
PRE-START PREPARATION
Before starting the generator, check for loose or missing
parts and for any damage which may have occurred during
shipment.
TANK INSTALLATION
1. Insert the LPG cylinder carefully
into the intended opening in the
top tank shroud. Make sure the
high pressure hose is in the
intended slot location and will
connect to the propane cylinder
valve easily without bending or
kinking.
Tighten the belt using the proper locking device .
The tank should not lift out or move.
3. Install the coupling on the end of the high pressure hose
onto the propane cylinder valve connection (similar to
many BBQ grills). Screw the nut onto the tank valve
until tight.
4. To check for leaks, spray soapy water on the valve and
regulator connections. Slowly open the tank valve. A
leak exists if bubbles appear or grow larger in size or
number.
5. If a leak exists, the condition must be corrected
immediately. DO NOT OPERATE UNIT. Contact
an authorized service center for assistance.

factory installed heat shields in place. Failure to
comply may cause the fuel tank to overheat and
result in personal injury from fire or explosion.

FUNCIONAMENTO EM ALTA ALTITUDE
Em altas altitudes, a mistura ar-combustível padrão do
carburador será muito rica. O desempenho diminuirá e o
consumo de combustível aumentará. Uma mistura muito rica
também sujará a vela de ignição e tornará difícil o arranque.
O funcionamento a uma altitude diferente daquela para a qual
este motor foi certificado, durante longos períodos de tempo,
pode aumentar as emissões.
A potência do motor diminuirá cerca de 3,5% por
cada aumento de 300 metros (1.000 pés) de altitude. Uma
diminuição da potência do motor diminuirá a potência de saída
do gerador.
Este gerador não deve ser colocado em funcionamento
sem ter todos os escudos térmicos de fábrica
instalados. O desrespeito por este requisito pode fazer
com que o depósito de combustível sobreaqueça e

INSTALAÇÃO DO TANQUE

pretendida e que se ligará facilmente
a válvula da botija de gás propano

corretamente em redor do corpo do
tanque
2. Aperte a correia, utilizando o dispositivo de bloqueio
adequado. O tanque não deverá levantar-se nem mover-se.
3. Instale o acoplamento na extremidade da mangueira de
alta pressão na ligação da válvula da botija de gás propano
(semelhante a muitos grelhadores). Aparafuse a porca na válvula
do tanque até ficar apertada.

ligações do regulador com água e sabão. Abra lentamente
a válvula do tanque. Se aparecerem bolhas ou se
aumentarem de tamanho ou em número existe uma fuga.
5. Se existir uma fuga, esta situação deverá ser retificada
imediatamente. NÃO COLOQUE A UNIDADE EM
FUNCIONAMENTO. Entre em contato com um centro
de serviço autorizado para obter assistência.
