6 • System Options

Network Settings 

This function is used to set the internet configuration required for the 

system is being connected via a LAN.
More detailed information on LAN requirements and alternative 

configurations are given in a guide which you can download. Visit 

www.europe.pb.com/docs

 and enter the reference number

Firewall Settings 

This function gives control of some firewall settings that may be 

required if the system is being connected via a LAN.
These settings will not normally require any changes. They should 

only be changed in consultation with your machine supplier and your 

own network administrator.

Connection Mode 

This function is used to set the way your system connects to Pitney 

Bowes services. 
This setting should remain set to Auto.

Advanced Options

Advanced options allow you access to features that are used very 

infrequently such as meter withdrawal, etc. The Advanced Feature 

menu includes:
•  Run Install Mode
•  Meter Withdrawal (for withdrawing postage funds)

Run Install Mode

This function can be used to reset machine functions.
It should only be used under direct instructions of your machine 

supplier.

Meter Withdrawal (Withdrawing Postage Funds)

This function is used to withdraw your machine from use. 

It should only be used under direct instruction of your machine 

supplier.
