5 • Adding Postage/Connecting to Data Centre
Refill Postage
You can add postage to your machine at the times detailed on page
5-3, as long as you have enough funds in your Postage by Phone
account and your system is connected to a LAN or via PCMC.
1. Press
Refill Postage
.
2. You may select “Add xx” to add the amount shown. Confirm you
require the amount by pressing 'Yes'.
OR
Select "Add Another Amount". Key in amount you want to add
and select “OK”. The amount must be in increments of £50. If
you have selected another amount, you will be asked to confirm
the new amount. Select "Yes".
3. The system connects to the Data Centre. Various screens
display, letting you know the status of the process.
4. The "Transfer Successful" screen displays.
5. You will be asked if you want to print a receipt. Either press "Print
Receipt" and follow the prompts or select "Continue" to return to
the Home Screen without printing a receipt.
NOTE:
The amount shown in the "Add xx" selection line is the
amount of postage you added the last time.
Secure Refill
It is possible to set the machine so that only a supervisor may add
postage to the machine. Before a password code can be set, the
supervisor password must be turned 'On'. To set a Refill Code:
1. Press
Refill Postage
.
2. Select "Refill Code".
3. Enter the "Supervisor Code". You will be asked to key in a
Password (4 digits). This becomes the "Refill Code".
When selecting Add Postage, the machine will ask for the Refill
Password. Enter the 4 digit code you have chosen.
To change or cancel the Refill Code:
1. Press
Refill Postage
.
2. Select "Refill Code".
3. Enter the "Supervisor Code". Enter a new code to change the
"Refill Code" or leave the code blank to turn the feature Off.
