5 • Adding Postage/Connecting to Data Centre
Checking Funds (Postage) Available in your System

NOTE:
You can continue to check your Postage by Phone
balance or add postage by pressing the 'Options' key while in
this screen. Refer to 'Checking your Postage by Phone Account'
and 'Adding Postage' later in this chapter.
Checking Your Postage by Phone® Account Balance
You can check your Postage by Phone® account balance at any
time, as long as your system is connected to a LAN.
1. Press
Refill Postage
.
2. Select “Check PbP balance”.
3. The system connects to the Data Centre (this may take a few
minutes). Various screens display, letting you know the status of
the process.
4. At the Postage by Phone account balances display. Select
"Continue" to return to the Home Screen.
NOTE:
You can elect to refill postage by selecting "Add
Postage" on the PbP Balance Screen. Refer to
Adding Postage
in this chapter for more information.
Connecting Your System Using PC Meter Connect
PC Meter Connect™ (PCMC) software must be installed onto your
internet enabled PC. Details of how you can obtain the software are
given in the Quick Installation Guide supplied with your system.
As you install PC Meter Connect software, you will be prompted
to connect your mailing system to your PC using a USB cable. PC
Meter Connect will then test your internet connection and and take
you through the software installation process.
Once installed there will be a PC Meter Connect™ icon in your PC's
system tray. Clicking this icon will give you access to PC Meter
Connect's internet settings and language selection.
