In the event errors appear in main unit display
In the event of a hardware error, the DVD-V8000 will display an error code and the name of the error.
Errors may also occur with non-hardware matters, due to disc scratches or soiling, or in the case of R/RW media, due to poor
recording quality. The following are the main non-hardware-related errors that may occur.
However, note that these are not all the possible errors, so in the event an error appears in the main unit’s display, check to be
sure that the disc is not scratched or soiled.

and confirm that the DVI connection is secure. Also, this kind of symptom
may occur if the input for a DVI-connected display is set to something other
than DVI. When not using DVI output, disconnect the DVI connections.
In general, commercially marketed USB mouse devices are manufactured
to common specifications and can be used with the DVD-V8000, but oper-
ating compatibility has not been confirmed for all devices available on the
market, with the result that it is possible some such devices may not be
compatible with the DVD-V8000.
Digital audio is not output unless [
Digital Audio Out
] is set to “
ON
” in the
Initial Settings section (page 40). Also, analog audio is not output if DTS
audio has been selected.
The internal clock has an permissible operating deviation of about 2 min-
utes per month. In addition, if the power cord is disconnected for more
than about 7 to 10 days, the internal clock’s time will be cleared and must
be reset when the power is restored (page 78).
