03 Playing Discs
Important
¶
If the
RETURN
button is pressed during creation of a pro-
gram list, the created program list (input program steps)
will be canceled.
To save a program list, press the
PLAY MODE
or
SETUP
button to exit the program list input mode.

) to begin
playback of the created program.
Note

During program play, pressing the
NEXT
button (

) will
cause playback to jump to the next program step.

During program play, pressing the
CLEAR
button will can-
cel the program, and normal playback will resume.

Repeat program play is possible (page 36).
Important
¶
Pressing the
CLEAR
button when the disc is stopped will
erase the program list.
Editing a program list
1. Press the PLAY MODE button to display
the Play Mode menu, then select
[Program].
2. Use the right cursor button (
\
) to select
[Create/Edit], then press the ENTER
button.
3. To erase a program step, highlight the
desired [Program Step] (displayed at left),
and press the CLEAR button.

The selected step will be erased and the remaining
steps will be advanced in order.
4. To insert a new program step, highlight
the [Program Step] (displayed at left) at
the point you wish to insert the new
step, move the cursor to the right and
select title/chapter/track, then press the
ENTER button.

A new step will be inserted at that point in the pro-
gram list and the remaining steps will be advanced in
order.
5. To add a new program step, at the very
end of a program list, highlight the blank
space following the last [Program Step]
(displayed at left), move the cursor to the
right and select title/chapter/track, then
press the ENTER button.

A new step will be added at the very end of the pro-
gram list.
6. Press the PLAY MODE or SETUP button
to exit the program list input mode.
Important
¶
If the
RETURN
button is pressed to exit the program list
input mode, the changes made to the program list will be
canceled.
Program play/stop/delete
1. Press the PLAY MODE button to display
the Play Mode menu, then select
[Program].

If a program list has already been created, it can be
selected.

Playback Start:
Begin playing the contents of an already created program.

Playback Stop:
Return to normal (non-program) playback. The contents of
the program list will remain stored, however. Program play
can also be canceled by pressing the
CLEAR
button during
program play.

Program Delete:
Deletes all contents of the program list. A program list can
also be deleted by pressing the
CLEAR
button when the disc
is stopped.
Program Memory
Contents of a program list can be preserved even when a
disc is removed from the player. When a program list is pre-
served in this way, loading the corresponding disc will initiate
automatic playback of the disc’s contents in accordance with
the preserved program list. Program lists for up to 20 discs
can be preserved in this way. If more than 20 program lists
are recorded, the earliest recorded program list will be
overwritten with the newly recorded list.

] can be selected only at the time of
programming a list.
1. Highlight [Program Memory], and move
the cursor to the right.
