HDMI Control
Important
• The KURO LINK function name used on the web and
in catalogues is r efe rr ed to as HDMI Cont r ol in the
o p e r ating inst r uctions and on the pr oduct.
By connecting this r eceive r to an HDMI Cont r ol-
com p atible Pionee r flat sc r een TV o r the HDD/DVD
r eco r de r with an HDMI cable, you can cont r ol this
r eceive r f r om the r emote cont r ol of a connected flat
sc r een TV, as well as have the connected flat sc r een TV
automatically change in p uts in r es p onse to o p e r ations
ca rr ied out on this unit.
Refe r to the o p e r ating manual fo r you r flat sc r een TV fo r
mo r e info r mation about which o p e r ations can be ca rr ied
out by connecting via HDMI cable.
• You cannot use this function with com p onents that
do not su pp o r t HDMI Cont r ol.
• We cannot gua r antee this unit will wo r k with HDMI
Cont r ol-com p atible com p onents othe r than those
made by Pionee r .
Making the HDMI Control connections
You can use synch r onized o p e r ation fo r a connected flat
sc r een TV and u p to fou r othe r com p onents.
Be su r e to connect the flat sc r een TV’s audio cable to the
audio in p ut of this unit.
Important
• When connecting this system o r changing
connections, be su r e to switch the p owe r off and
disconnect the p owe r co r d f r om the wall socket.
Afte r com p leting all connections, connect the p owe r
co r ds to the wall socket.
• Afte r connecting this r eceive r to an AC outlet, a 15
second initialization pr ocess begins. You cannot
ca rr y out any o p e r ations du r ing initialization. The
HDMI indicato r on the dis p lay unit blinks du r ing
initialization, and you can tu r n this r eceive r on once
it has sto pp ed blinking.
• To get the most out of this function, we r ecommend
that you connect you r HDMI com p onent not to a flat
sc r een TV but r athe r di r ectly to the HDMI te r minal on
this r eceive r .

SC-LX81 only:
To use the HDMI cont r ol function,
connect this r eceive r and flat sc r een TV using the
HDMI OUT 1 te r minal. Connecting the HDMI cont r ol
com p atible com p onent using the
HDMI OUT 2
te r minal may r esult in malfunction. If this ha pp ens,
tu r n off the HDMI cont r ol com p atible com p onent’s
HDMI cont r ol setting.
• HDMI Cont r ol is com p atible with u p to fou r units, two
DVD o r Blu- r ay disc p laye r s and two DVD o r Blu- r ay
disc r eco r de r s. (The maximum numbe r of units may
diffe r de p ending on the connected flat sc r een TV.)
