Switching components on and off using
the 12 volt trigger
You can connect com p onents in you r system (such as a
sc r een o r pr ojecto r ) to this r eceive r so that they switch on
o r off using 12 volt t r igge r s when you select an in p ut
function. Howeve r , you must s p ecify which in p ut
functions switch on the t r igge r using the
The Input Setup
menu
on p age 89. Note that this will only wo r k with
com p onents that have a standby mode.

• Connect the 12 V TRIGGER jack of this receiver to
the 12 V trigger of another component.
Use a cable with a mono mini- p lug on each end fo r the
connection.
• The t r igge r maximum p owe r is DC OUT 12 V/50 mA.
Afte r you’ve s p ecified the in p ut functions that will switch
on the t r igge r , you’ll be able to switch the com p onent on
o r off just by pr essing the in p ut function(s) you’ve set on
p age 89.
Using this receiver with a Pioneer flat
screen TV
If you have a Pionee r flat sc r een TV, you can use an SR+
cable

to connect it to this unit and take advantage of
va r ious convenient featu r es, such as automatic video
in p ut switching of the flat sc r een TV when the in p ut is
changed.

Important
• You can’t use the SR+ featu r es when HDMI Control
is set to ON . Make su r e to set HDMI Control to OFF
when you use the SR+ featu r es ( p age 87).
• If you connect to a Pionee r flat sc r een TV using an
SR+ cable, you will need to p oint the r emote cont r ol
at the flat sc r een TV r emote senso r to cont r ol the
r eceive r . In this case, you won’t be able to cont r ol the
r eceive r using the r emote cont r ol if you switch the flat
sc r een TV off.
• Befo r e you can use the ext r a SR+ featu r es, you need
to make a few settings in the r eceive r . See
