Advanced operations for Internet radio
Saving Internet radio stations
This r eceive r can r emembe r the Inte r net r adio stations
that you often listen to in 3 classes (A, B, and C) with u p
to 10 stations in each class to make the total of 30
stations at its maximum ca
p acity.
Befo r e pr oceeding with the following ste p s, check
whethe r you have followed Ste p s 2 to 4 on p age 73.
1 Set the operation selector switch to SOURCE.
2 Tune into the Internet radio station that you want
to save.
Tune into the desi r ed Inte r net r adio station by following
Ste p s 2 to 4 on p age 73.
3 Press T.EDIT to switch to the station-saving mode.
4 Press CLASS to select the class that you want to
save the station in.
Select the desi r ed class f r om A, B, and C.
5 Use
/
to select the number that you want to
save the station as, and then press ENTER.
You can also select the station numbe r by using the
numbe r buttons. Select the desi r ed numbe r f r om 0 to 9.
Retrieving saved Internet radio stations
You need to save Inte r net r adio stations fi r st befo r e
r et r ieving them. If the r e a r e no Inte r net r adio stations
cu rr ently being saved, see
Saving Internet radio stations
above and save at least one Inte r net r adio station befo r e
pr oceeding with the following ste p s.
1 Set the operation selector switch to SOURCE.
2 Select the class that you want to retrieve an
Internet radio station from.
Each time you pr ess CLASS , the class switches to A, B,
and C in tu r n.
3 Use

to select the station number that you
want to retrieve.
You can also select the station numbe r by using the
numbe r buttons.

Setting up the network
In case the r oute r connected to the LAN te r minal on this
r eceive r is a b r oadband r oute r (with the built-in DHCP
se r ve r function), sim p ly tu r n on the DHCP se r ve r
function, and you will not need to set u p the netwo r k
manually. You must set u p the netwo r k as desc r ibed
below only when you have connected this r eceive r to a
se r ve r without the DHCP se r ve r function. Befo r e you set
u p the netwo r k, consult with you r ISP o r the netwo r k
manage r fo r the r equi r ed settings. It is adviso r y that you
also r efe r to the o p e r ation manual su pp lied with you r
netwo r k com p onent.

IP Address
The IP add r ess to be ente r ed must be defined within the
following r anges. If the IP add r ess defined is beyond the
following r anges, you cannot p lay back audio files sto r ed
on com p onents on the netwo r k o r listen to Inte r net r adio
stations.
Class A: 10.0.0.1 to 10.255.255.254
Class B: 172.16.0.1 to 172.31.255.254
Class C: 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.255.254
Subnet Mask
In case an xDSL modem o r a te r minal ada p te r is di r ectly
connected to this r eceive r , ente r the subnet mask
pr ovided by you r ISP on p a p e r . In most of the cases, ente r
255.255.255.0.
Gateway IP
In case a gateway ( r oute r ) is connected to this r eceive r ,
ente r the co rr es p onding IP add r ess.
DNS Server Preferred/DNS Server Alternate
In case the r e is only one DNS se r ve r add r ess pr ovided by
you r ISP on p a p e r , ente r ‘DNS Server Preferred’ . In case
the r e a r e mo r e than two DNS se r ve r add r esses, ente r
‘DNS Server Alternate’
in the othe r DNS se r ve r add r ess
field.
