2. Clean the coupling area between the connecting

rod cap and the connecting rod.

Draw a mark on one side, so that the part can be

properly refitted, also mark the coupling to the cyl-

inder.

3. Turn the crankshaft until the connecting rod cap

is on the oil sump part.

4. Loosen the nuts of the connecting rod cap even-

ly, operating in two or three stages. Then remove

the nuts of connecting rod cap.

5. Remove the connecting rod cap.

- REPLACE THE CRANKSHAFT, IF THE CONNECTING
ROD PIN HAS SEIZURES.

6. Place a "plastigauge" on the connecting rod pin.

N.B.

- CLEAN ANY OIL TRACES FROM THE CONNECTING ROD
PIN.
