The following software is included in the printer CD-ROM disk. You can selectively install it using the 
installer on the CD-ROM.

■

Printer Driver and Manual

When installing the printer driver and manual, you can selectively install the following software. See 

“Windows”

 section of "Settings and Printing" in the Operating Instructions how to use each software.

(1) PCL 5c printer driver
(2) PostScript printer driver (DP-CL21M only)
(3) Status Display

Displays the printer’s condition or an error message, when one occurs.

(4) HDD Utility

Controls the spooled print jobs in the Hard Disk Drive (HDD) or maintain the HDD from your 
computer.

(5) Print Media Test Pattern

Examines the print quality by printing out the test pattern.

(6) Operating Instructions
(7) Network Port

Installs the network printer port for LPR, IPP or E-mail port printing.

Network Setup Tool

Used to install or make changes to printers on the network.

■

Acrobat Reader

To open and read the Operating Instructions manual on your screen, the Acrobat Reader program is 
required (see the Setup Guide for the installing instructions). 

■

Remote Maintenance Setting Tool

Enables to use the Remote Maintenance Function. DP-CL21 provides Remote Maintenance Function 
to change the setting or get the information of the printer in/outside LAN (Local Area Network) through 
the Internet (E-mail). See 

“Remote Maintenance Setting Tool” on page 231

 in “Settings and 

Printing”.
