Chapter 3 Troubleshooting
Check Items
• After the
DC956
Belt Edge Learn has completed
successfully, run
DC685
Regi Control Setup Cycle to
check whether the same failure occurs.
• The detection position of the MOB SENSOR 1 and 2 for
contamination and detection failure
• The IBT BELT for a scratch and contamination
• The DRUM for a scratch and contamination
• The frame for distortion
• The MCU PWB, ESS PWB, LSU (ROS) ASSY, and
DRUM for a failure
008-630 REGICON SKEW FAILURE
(A1 PATCH-M)
Description
At A1 patch detection, the relative skew
difference amount of Magenta against CYAN color exceeds the
allowable value.

008-900 STATIC JAM
Description
When all INTERLOCK are closed after the power
is turned On, the SENSOR on the paper path detected paper.
Check Items
• Check the power voltage for dropping.
• The wire between the SENSOR on the paper path and each
circuit board for an open circuit or poor contact.
• The paper path for foreign substance and unremoved
jammed paper
• The Reflective SENSOR Detection Position for
contamination and the Permeable SENSOR Actuator for
not-smooth operation, etc
• The TRAY MODULE PWB, I/F PWB, MCU PWB, and
ESS PWB for a failure
This failure is a hidden failure. Therefore, even if a
failure occurs in the custom mode that is used by a
customer, the machine will not be aborted and the
Failure Code will not be displayed on the UI, which
means that copy output is possible.
