Installation Manual
Notice
•
Ensure that the installation strength is at least as great as the
specified pull-out strength of the anchors which is 5,197.5 N
[530 k
g
f].
•
Use the values recommended by the manufacturer of the anchors
used for the depth to which the anchors are to be embedded in the
wall.
•
Use M8 bolts when the anchors have internal screw threads.
•
Ensure that the length of the M8 bolts provides an interfitting length
of at least 1.5 times the bolt diameter. (diagram at right)
•
Ensure that the M8 bolts do not strike the bottoms of the anchors,
and check that they have been tightened up securely.
•
Recommended tightening torque: 12.5 N•m (127 k
g
f•cm)
For tightening purposes, use a torque driver whose torque can be
specified.
II.
When the Wall is not a Principal Structural Component
Check the structure of the wall backing materials. If the following
conditions are not satisfied, consult with a building contractor, and
proceed with installation after having reinforced the wall so that it does
meet the conditions.
•
For the wall backing materials, use wood materials measuring at least
50 mm
×
75 mm (1

in.
×
2

/

in.) equivalent to the ones given in
the table below or metal stands or other such parts with at least the
equivalent strength.
•
The maximum distance between the wall backing materials must be
910 mm (2 ft. 11

/
16
in.).
