The following is the outline of the steps how to print using the NetBEUI protocol in Windows
NT 4.0.
NOTE
• When printing a document using NetBEUI, the error message is displayed and the printing is
halted if the printer cannot receive the print data.
Step 1: Setting up NetBEUI on the computer
Step 2: Setting up NetBEUI for the printer
Select a network printing method before proceeding the step 3.
• When printing directly from a computer to the printer, perform step 3 on each
computer (Windows NT 4.0).
• When printing through the shared computer (server), perform steps 3 and 4 on the
server computer (Windows NT 4.0), then perform step 5 on each client computer
(Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows NT 4.0 or Windows 2000)
Step 3: Setting up the printer driver and the printer port on the computer
Step 4: Sharing the printer port on the server computer
Step 5: Setting up the printer driver and printer port on the client computer

To print using the NetBEUI protocol, you must have the NetBEUI protocol in the Network
property. Refer to Windows Help or documentation for more details.
