OCR Scanning

1.

Touch

. The icon is shown as

.

2.

Point the window at the target text you want to scan, and touch

on the right side

of the screen.

You can turn on the light. Touch

.

When the target text has been scanned, the scanned OCR text is displayed above the preview
window.

Copy the OCR text to the clipboard.

Retry OCR scanning.

Save the OCR text.

To stop scanning, touch

.

N O T E

Installation of the language pack is necessary in order to use the OCR feature of other
languages. If it is not installed, please download the language pack by the following pro-
cedure.

1.

Touch

(Start) -

(Settings) - [Time & Language] - [Region & language].

2.

Touch [Add a language] under “Languages”.

3.

Select a language to install, and then touch [Next].

4.

Change the “Install language features” if necessary, and then touch [Install].
Restart may be necessary in some cases.

5.

Select the “Windows display language” to be used with the OCR feature.

6.

Sign out and sign in once.

OCR feature can't be used in some languages which Windows doesn't support OCR fea-
ture.
